Eric Hester has been practicing workers’ compensation law in Northern California for more than 30 years.
Eric graduated from Del Campo High School and attended California State University in Sacramento, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and minor in English. He went on to Boalt Hall, the law school at University of California at Berkeley, graduating in 1988.
Eric represented employers and insurance carriers for the first twelve years of his practice. He understands how insurance companies and their adjusters think about workers’ compensation claimants. Eric came over to the side of injured workers, representing applicants, in 2000 and has not looked back since.
As an applicants attorney, Eric has helped hundreds of injured workers and their families get through the difficulties of the workers’ compensation system.
Eric has handled many catastrophic and career-ending injuries and has developed an expertise in claims against the Subsequent Injuries Benefits Trust Fund. As a consultant, Eric helps applicants’ attorneys add SIBTF to their practices and maximize their clients’ benefits.
The California State Bar Association Board of Legal Specialization has designated Eric as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law.
In his free time, Eric enjoys his family, reading and tennis. He is a disciple, though not a master, of the top-spin one-handed backhand. He especially enjoys growing his own tomatoes.
